ERANE'S LIFE JOURNEY

Erane's humble beginnings taught her how to appreciate the small things in life and gave her a true appreciation for people and community.  She was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent her formative years in Darling, Mississippi under the care of her great grandmother and it was this lifestyle that shaped her values and taught her gratefulness.

She moved to Ann Arbor Michigan in 1979 with her parents when she was 11.5 years old and attended Bryant Elementary, Scarlett Middle School, and Huron High School.

She graduated from Huron High School in 1985 and immediately enrolled at Michigan State University.

As a first generation college graduate, she wanted to give back to the community and she thought law could provide that venue.  Coming back home to pursue her law degree, she attended and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
